The Kilimanjaro Initiative is a rural women’s mobilisation from across Africa towards an iconic moment at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro in October 2016. This initiative aims to create space for us to be able to participate in decision making processes about land and natural resources.
More than three years after the start of the conflict, 2017 has seen the humanitarian crisis in the Central African Republic (CAR) deepen despite the peaceful democratic transition in 2016 and presence of the UN peacekeeping operation since 2014.
