Leah Mugehera is the Oxfam Pan Africa Programme’s Gender Justice & Women’s Rights Lead. She has a specialized background in Sociology, Bachelors of Laws (LLB) and an M.A in Gender & Development Studies. Her portfolio includes implementing the unpaid care work, women’s land rights projects and the women’s peace and security in Africa projects. Leah has been leading the Kilimanjaro Initiative Campaign in Oxfam, coordinated through the Pan Africa Programme. The campaign seeks to realize the rights to access and ownership of land by women in Africa. She has been the Kilimanjaro Initiative Focal Point within the Oxfam confederation.
